The Oligoscan uses the spectrophotometry method, which is based on measuring the absorption of light at specific wavelengths by the body's tissues. Different elements and compounds absorb light at varying intensities across different wavelength ranges. The Oligoscan device is designed to measure intracellular levels of minerals, trace elements, and heavy metals using spectrophotometry. It operates by scanning the skin at a depth of 4mm to assess the bioaccumulation of these elements in tissues.
How it works
The device is applied to the patient's skin, usually on the palm, and in a short period, it analyzes the reflected light. The scanning process takes only a few seconds. The collected data is processed using specialized software that compares the results with reference values and provides a report on the levels of trace elements and metals in the body.
Limitations: The Oligoscan provides information on the levels of elements in tissues, but not in blood or other bodily fluids, so its results may differ from those obtained through traditional analysis methods. Additionally, the accuracy of the data depends on proper device calibration and patient
